We are offering accommodation in newly reconstructed apartment 50 sqm, 2 rooms with kitchen corner and balcony, fully equipped kitchen, SAT TV, shower, WC. Apartment has its own entrance, for parking is possible to use a garage.

Our house is located in town Vodňany, in peacefull area in middle of south czech. Offers good position for trips, by foot, by bycicle or by car. In surroundings is lot of forestry and ponds.

Town is in the midway between Písek - České Budějovice, it has about 7000 citizen, it was founded on break of 12. and 13. century. From year 1366 is known as royal town, as well is known as center of south czech fishery. Name of town is made from its location in middle of south czech ponds area. Thanks that Vodňany gets centuries ago name Aquilea Bohemorum - Czech Venice.

Fire in year 1722 has destroyed most of historical buildings. Still Vodňany can offer well-preserved colonization pattern with wide square-shaped square, medieval town walls, defense towers and water moat. Dominant of historical town center with well-preserved townsfolks houses, old bridge with baroque statue of st. Jan Nepomucký, memory of Petr Chelčický, statue of Jan Žižka and allegory of Freedom from famous czech sculptor Josef Kvasnička, is church of Birth Virgin Mary. It was founded at 14. century, several times rebuilding into currently novogothic style, from end of 19. century.
